    Default Bishop or Driedger?

Who do you think would be a better choice for the upcoming season? My final keeper comes down to either of the two. Is Bishop supposed to be healthy to start the season? He seems like the one wih most upside but also the riskiest pick of the two because of obvious injury concern. Driedger was great for me last season but idk how many games he'll get with Grubauer there. Categories are Shots W GAA

Hey! First post! I like it.

Tough call but I'd roll with Driedger were I you. I think he'll get a decent amount of games in, Grubauer has never played more than 40 games in a season since his AHL days, and Seattle's defense should be more than decent with helping keep GAA down. Wins may be tougher to come by.

Bishop on the other hand, well, I don't know what to make of Dallas' goalie situation. They signed Holtby for a reason and I'm not sure what that reason is. I hope whatever their plan is comes out soon but it seems like they're counting on Bishop missing more time if I had to guess. Whether he'll play at all this upcoming season or play well at all if he hits the ice is up in the air.

“We don’t know when he’s going to play, if he plays,” Nill said of Bishop. “So, we decided we needed to make a decision. He’s still rehabbing. His plan is still to be ready sometime during the season, we don’t know when that’ll be. We thought it was too much of a risk to take a chance counting on him into the lineup right now.”
Jim Nill on the Holtby signing.

By default, the answer here is Driedger.

    GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

It really sucks when it comes to my fantasy team or two but I come more and more to realization that Bishop is just about done….I would not be investing in him anymore

Driedger. You can't presume that Bishop will ever play even half a season anymore.

Bishop's status is a huge concern and honestly, even if healthy, the Stars crease is up for grabs. At least we have a much better idea of where Dreidger stands. That's the safer and better choice.

seems like best case scenerio for bishop is 25 ish starts if he returns in dec-jan . worst case , rehab all season .

driedger likely plays a minimum 25 games as the 1b

I am sure he's a back up at a minimum of 25 games and with Grubauer looking like the clear cut starter. I am going with the back up on the Kraken...Bishop has far too many question marks.

I don't like rolling with a bunch of unknowns, so Driedger gets my vote.

Ooof... I dislike both of these options.
Please list the other keeper options you have...

    A backup goalie for Seattle...
    vs.
A likely injured goalie... (Dallas signing Holtby WITH Khudobin AND Oettinger is clear enough proof, IMO, that Bishop is in very, very bad shape)

If this is all the options you have... I say Dreidger.
But... at BEST... he's a 40% volume starter on a Seattle team that might win 50% of games.
    .4x.5x82gp = 16w.

    Big... MEH.
