Ive got Gusev in a keeper, is he a goner or does he get signed late? I mean all these signings and no team made an offer does not bode well. Hold or dump?

probably just replace him from FA, which in a 24 team league pickings are slim to none. I get what your saying though so I may just ride it out and hope he gets picked up for cheap as it is a cap league. Just thought someone may have heard something but I haven't heard a peep one way or the other. thx

Gusev is one of those guys that's impossible to figure out. Dude should have been a Goalie!!!! The talent and potential are there, we have even seen a few short glimpses of it and then, poof, it just disappears and nothing's happening. The Cats still have Reinhart to sign but they have the cap to do that, likely with a little bit left over. Zito has been making some nice moves this off season so maybe they offer Gusev a 1 Mil 1 year show me contract?? Or he signs a similar contract elsewhere, or he heads back to Mother Russia. Who knows. Whatever happens he should be low risk in a cap league and there is a chance of high reward. I'd hold and see what happens.

Gusev, the next Zherdev. So much potential and a sick skillset, but never became that stud he teased. Granted Zherdev gave us a few decent fantasy years.
