    Default Seider/Lundell

I’ve been offered Seider for my Lundell. Dobber has Seider with a 3yp of 50 in the latest prospect guide. That excites me. What do you all think?

My heart says to bet on Seider, but I’ve heard a lot lately about his weak shot, and lack of shots. I guess I’m just wanting to know who will be a better points only own in their prime.

My gut tells me that Lundell has the offensive upside, but Seider may be the better player.

Despite the fact that we are comparing a F and D, these guys are in fact very similar in what they bring to the game IMO. Neither Seider nor Lundell oozes offence. They are very capable, but not elite. Rather, both are smooth players that can control the play over the full 200 ft of ice. I believe these skills will translate for both into the NHL. This is pure conjecture and we are years away, but I see Seider as a 50 - 55 pt Defencmen and Lundell as a 65 - 70 pt forward. I think they both have an equal opportunity of hitting that upside. So again, not elite, but most certainly fantasy relevant. It's pretty much a dead heat IMO. However, I think it might be wise to take into consideration the nearer term here when making a decision on this trade. I believe Seider is ready to step into the Red Wings lineup next year in a top 4 role. Lundell is a year and likely two or three away from becoming a fixture in the Panthers top nine. I'm inclined to add the player that can contribute to my team tomorrow rather than wait a few years for a player of similar upside. Hope this helps.

Points only I'm going Lundell. I think he'll peak between 65 and 85 points while Seider likely becomes a 35-45 point (maybe the odd 50+ point season) defensemen who'll be fantastic for peripherals.

To be fair, Lundell was widely considered to lack top-six offensive ability when he was drafted. He's very much a defence-first centre and will potentially be stuck behind Barkov and Reinhart/Bennett for a while. He really popped in Liiga last season but I think people might be overrating him a bit. I think a safe projection would be somewhere in Danault territory where he could put up decent 5v5 numbers with some good wingers.

Seider could be a #1 all-situations defender in the same vein as Hedman so if I'm looking at upside sign me up for Moritz.

    I made the trade. I like the 50 3yp.
