    That's a smart signing by the Leafs. Word was Ritchie was looking for something start with a 4 a few days ago. As long as people know what he is (and isn't), I can see this working out.

    forgive me since i think nick ritchie is a plug, is he really the guy the leafs should be spending their last bit of cap space on? =\

    A potential top 6 winger for 2.5M. I am curious as what you see as better options at that price? And if it doesn't work on the top-2 lines, he should provide a lot of jam to the third line...

    I like this signing for the Leafs. Gives you some secondary scoring and a guy who can play the corners game. At that number it’s a pretty good deal for Dubas.

    If things don't work in Toronto, do you really think that contract is tradable? It's not an expensive contract compared to the big boys but it's not like it's a cheap contract either for someone who plays a heavy game.

    I'm curious what team would pick up that contract of 3.3mill in salary next yr (90% chance of 0). Could be heading to the AHL as the Leafs accrue some cap.

    Not sure how the taxi-squad would work with him tho.
