Darnell Nurse or Tuevo Teravainen ?

I was offered this trade in one of my dynasty leagues. The team in my sig is not the league I’m posting about but same scoring settings. I am a bit weak on defense outside or Barrie and provorov if I lose Nurse but I like Tuevo’s upside. Which side are you taking?

It would help to know your full roster to see your teams strengths and weaknesses but my gut tells me in this setup that Nurse holds more value based on the peripherals.

This was my first thought as well. If you're already thin on defense and the league counts those kinds of peripherals you're probably better off keeping Nurse.

I would hold Nurse. His value must be substantial in that league and it sounds like he slots into a position of weakness for your team. Tuevo would be easier to replace than Nurse in my opinion.

Darnell Nurse, especially if you're skimp on defence. I can see Martin Necas leapfrogging Teuvo Teräväinen because of the chemistry he had as a sophomore with Sebastian Aho when injuries piled up... it may not happen this season, but it could happen soon. Imagine when he breaks out, which can happen at any moment.

Necas' future is on the top-line with Andrei Svechnikov and Aho. His shot, skating, and hockey IQ are better, and fits Aho like a glove. In fact, Sebastian said it was easy playing with Necas because he thinks the game similarly to him.

Nurse. Excellent value in your scoring format. Also agree that Teravainen's role is now looking far more like 2nd line and 2PP than prime deployment.
