Well, there's my answer. Depending on the details, that's a great signing for Boston and for Ullmark owners!

4 years, 5m per.
That's not a deal you make if you expect Rask to be around for much longer, let alone this season whenever he's healthy.

I have Ullmark, so yay.
I am a hockey obsessed fiend.
Man, that seems like a lotta cake for Ullmark. I hope he succeeds, but he’s got to live up to that contract now.
…and the plot thickens for the Avs now too.
At first I was thinking “oh shit, maybe Tuukka is really done” when I saw this. But honestly it’s an affordable deal and the platoon method seems to work for a lot of teams these days. A Swayman/Ullmark combo is very affordable and could provide something like the Russian duo on Long Island.
Plus it leaves cap space for Rask to come back for a playoff run in January if he is healthy enough while providing insurance if he can’t.
I’ll buy into this move.
Term and AAV are both about double what I'd have expected for a goalie who's never even appeared in 40 games in a season, not to mention his lack of big game experience for a team with a window that's closing.

I'm not crazy about the cap hit, but as an Ullmark owner, I am happy about him landing in BOS.
He got starter money and a better team in front of him. His numbers were pretty good last year (on a really poor team) so his fantasy value just got a huge increase. He should have a big year ahead.
I like this signing by the B’s. I think he’s a good goalie and now that’s he’s on a way better team it’s a win for both him and Boston. Placeholder for Swayman down the road.
Call me old one more time.
