I don't know. This contract will take him through what, age 35? It's a decent amount of coin for sure, but I think Grubauer has proven himself to be a pretty high quality NHL starter and goalies remaining at a high level to their mid-30s isn't all that unusual. And if the cap does end up increasing (which I understand is an "if"), that could end up looking better and better.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out though, for sure.

And yeah, I agree that his fantasy value takes a pretty big hit. Even if the Kraken surprise a bit, still has to be a pretty big step down from the powerhouse Avs squad.
