It's not a coincidence they put this out today.
Dumb, everything about this pick, and what MTL has said, or continue to say makes much sense.
The Coyotes released a guy they picked because of the bullying. I don't think MTL should be able to keep this guy. However, the amount they've backed the pick up clearly shows they are willing to just push through it and hope it eventually goes away.

Anything less than firing Marc Bergevin is not enough. The Timmins interview tells me that this pick was almost all Bergevin's doing.

Bergy likes to the loopholes, the details that other GM's might have overlooked. He's sharp, but he pushed the envelope to far on this one.
Molson says the organization is committed to helping both the victim and Mailloux. I think they're doing more harm then good to the both of them. This puts unwanted attention on the young woman, and I'm afraid that the young man will be subjected to social justice, where citizens step in to correct perceived injustice.

Jesus, man. For all the allegations and revelations the NHL has gone through in the past few years, from Alan Eagleson and Graham James and Brad Aldrich, to Bill Peters and Mitchell Miller, you'd really think that an NHL team would be smart enough to not only avoid grabbing a live wire like this, but also stop doubling down on it.
