Ya, considering pretty much every Leafs fan is sad to see Hyman go because of what he meant to their team, that tells me a lot about the player they are getting. I'm not getting that same "hate to see you go" in regards to Coleman leaving TB. Don't get me wrong, both contracts are not good but I'm happier reading the goodbye messages from Leafs fans online about what Hyman meant to them in regards to what he's bringing to Edmonton.

I actually like Coleman but I don't get the same heart and soul type player from him that Hyman seems to be bringing to Edmonton.

Honestly, I wanted the Flyers to sign Coleman, and I would've been okay with this term & money, especially considering what they spent their money and picks to get.

He's a 2nd line player who brings shorthanded offense and grit. He was a "3rd line" player on Tampa, but that 3rd line was their second best line, in my opinion.

How do you see the top six filling out for Calgary today, assuming this is their roster going into next season? Something like:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm (or is he 2C?)
Coleman - Backlund - Tkachuk (or do I have the two wingers backwards?)

If Lindholm goes to 2C and moves Backlund down to 3C, who jumps up to play on the top line? Dube? Ritchie? Mangiapane?

Bruins were reportedly in on Coleman. Im glad they passed for that term and money as he would have been bottom 6 for Boston.

I see Lindholm at C paired with Tkachuk, and Monahan at 2C with Coleman. The hope is that if you shelter Monahan and put him with a strong possession player then he can be effective again. Mang and Coleman can play the right side even though they’re both lefties. Gaudreau would load up the first line with Mang on the second but they could be switched as circumstances dictate. The third pairing is Backlund and Dube.
