Vesalainen won't be a factor. I don't believe in the kid. I am thinking he doesn't have much of an NHL career. I am expecting Perfetti to make the team.

canucks needed his cap hit off the books so im glad it worked out for both sides
i imagine winnipeg was not his first choice so im sure he was convinced by stastny as reported and this was probably his only chance of leaving

The trade value of guys seem to be all over the place.
Schmidt is a 3rd rounder but Dillion is 2 2nd rounders. Just seems odd some of these trades lol.

Certainly an upgrade for Winnipeg, although I am not as big of a fan of Schmidt as others. His contract isn't great for what he's been offering since signing it and lots of years left. Thats probably why the return doesn't seem as good as it should be.
