I liked this deal because it gave us better players for the same cap hit at the time. Signing JT is still worse than this though.

LOL- I had to go back and read what I posted in this thread and I'm fine with it. I was high on Garland when he was traded and that obviously has not worked out. Just thought he'd be a top 6, 60+ point winger on the Canucks. But when you're not on PP1 and are playing well but on the 3rd line, that's not going to happen. Still think he'd be a great pickup for a team if they could get Vancouver to retain some of his salary. Garland could lead a bum-slaying 3rd line for a contender.
