Risto has played tough minutes in Buffalo, although given how bad this team is there was not much opportunity to shelter him. If he can play more protected minutes in Philly, who are a good possession team, perhaps he can be more effective, as long as he can contribute to the offence. On the other hand, $5.4 million to acquire a Dman you need to shelter doesn't seem to be the best use of assets.

The gave away a second to get rid of a defenseman who can't play defense so they could send another 1st and 2nd to get another defenseman who can't play defense. This is great management.

This is way, way too much for a rental. Just like they paid way too much for Justion Braun as a rental - who they resigned.

I hated the Chuck Fletcher hiring before, and I hate it even more now. I think the Flyers' high water mark with the Coach/GM combo has already passed, it was 2019-20.
