NHL wouldn't allow Price to be picked by Seattle then traded back for salary retention, but will allow these cap dump trades in Ladd and Ghostbear. It's so dumb

Yeah, this is super smart what they're doing with these Ladd and Ghost type trades. Snag a bunch of picks for taking on cap hits in years when you'll be terrible anyways, and then you'll have a load of good young players in a few years when you're ready to compete.

Ghost's cap hit is "only" $4.5M for the next two years. Not pennies, I get it. But also not that onerous, I'd think, given that he does bring some offense?! Seems like a really nice move by Arizona.
