It started Tuesday technically. But it happens every yr. The opening ceremonies are a Friday and then a couple of days before it there's events. No idea why they do it like that, but it happens every yr.Originally Posted by Moses

I only caught the last 20 minutes of the womens triathalon a few days ago and they kept on mentioning the woman from GBR (finished 2nd) had a flat tire but they didnt mention how much time she lost .
kudos to the woman from Bermuda that won but the woman from GBR seemed to be a slightly better runner and might have won gold if not for the flat tire .
iirc , the woman from GBR crossed the line a few mins behind the winner
