My only concern with Byram for the next 3 is that D depth in Colorado. That's a lot of skill in front of him.

Some young prospect I'm unaware of..? Andersson is a very common Swedish name.

    edit:
I've no idea whether Välimäki, K'Andre Miller, Brännström or Byram will become productive NHLers within 3 years. I'd probably bet on Brännström for upside if I wanted a high risk-high reward bet, but otherwise I'd probably rely on safer production from R Andersson or Jake Bean. If Jake Bean seems to get a prominent role in Seattle - he would be my pick.

I also think in a multi cat Byram is going to be a very nice asset and at the top of the list. We'll see about the pure offence, but I think he can make some noise there as well, not elite offensive numbers, but if he can flirt with 55 -60 and fill those other roto like cats, well, you have yourself a pretty good defencemen.
im not saying it does not happen as i did not do reasarch on this..but when was last time team had an 80 points D and 55+ points D at the same time?

I remember when Reilley and Gardiner both hit 50 it was huge deal ...

i just dont think there is enough puck to go around to accomplish that...and i surly dotn think Makar will be unseated....unless he gets hurt i really dont see that

Ooof. I hope not. That would be a terrible move.

I'm not sold on Brannstrom and his offensive upside but that's me.

I probably watch more Senators games than any other team simply because I'm on the East Coast and I don't enjoy watching Montreal or Toronto so they're my other option for the early games. I actually find the Sens entertaining to watch.

The Sens are going to be a fantastic team in a couple of years. As long as the goaltending pans out. They have so many promising players at all positions - it's going to be fun to see. Brannstrom is still a ways away from his BT. This season he won't hit it yet but it should go a long way in seeing what he is.

you shoudl watch some of his games outside NHL...yes its different competition but he also steps up when given prime minutes....so far in NHL he has been given crap minutes for most parts ...still produced ok for rookie D

i think he can be producing very high numbers ....time will tell

What he's done outside the NHL doesn't mean much. Lots of kids shine outside the NHL and never reach their potential once they get there so I'm not sure what that would prove.

What I’m sayin is that he has not been given a chance to show it in NHL so u can’t dismiss him based on what you seen…

Well I am smart enough to know that young Dmen take longer to develop. All I am saying is to this point, I have not been as impressed with him as I have been with the others in the OPs question and thats why he's near the bottom of my list here. I just don't see the offense from him that I had hoped to see and he's got a ways to go to get to that next level. If I was basing my opinion on what all those Dmen have done prior to getting to the NHL, my list might look different, but what they did before the NHL doesn't really matter much.

    Thats what I was saying.
