    Default Rank these prospects

    Hello!

League in signature. I was wondering how you'd rank there prospects considering:
    - Highest upside (including projected production this year and next)
    - Best situation (team, lineup position, etc)
    - Best odds of reaching for that upside in the next 2 years

    • Jakob Pelletier
    • Seth Jarvis
    • Alex Newhook
    • Lucas Raymond
    • Grigori Denisenko
    • Anton Lundell
    • Alex Turcotte
    • Marco Rossi
    • Matthew Boldy
    • Philip Tomasino
    • Vitali Kravtsov
    • Morgan Frost
    • Vasily Podkolzin
    • Peyton Krebs
    • Connor McMichael
    • Cole Perfetti

That is my personal rankings but Rossi would be in tier one with Raymond for most poolers.

To answer your question about who will reach his upside in the next year or two, I would answer 0 player in that group. They are all still young and 3-4 years from reaching their upside. A couple of them will be fantasy relevant in a year or two if you're lucky. Krebs, Rossi, Podkolzin and Denisenko probably have the better short term opportunity to have a bigger role.

First off, your list is too long. You'll get more replies if you keep your list to five or six names, or ask for the top five or six. Just sayin'.

    My top six:

    Raymond
    Denisenko
    Newhook
    Frost
    Perfetti
    Rossi
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

Going with my top 5, sorry six is not a nice round number.

The problem with people ranking Marco Rossi so high is that he dominated a Jr league possessing a man's body (built like a mini tank) and was one of the older draft players.... my point, it was a no-brainer he should, but we're talking pro hockey... He's missed a year of essential development. That being said he's still in my top 5 and he should still be a terrific player.

    My top 5:

Cole Perfetti: Both talent and opportunity is there with Andrew Copp potentially on the outs. Maybe used as trade bait for a defenseman. Cole already has a year of pro experience under his belt where he looked dominate at times, putting up 13 points in a stretch of 7 games in April. I might be over zealous in my opinion of the kid, but I think he's going to be a superstar. No, not right away but it will not be a matter of if, but when...

Lucas Raymond: This was close, but I feel Cole's future situation is better and I believe he'll be a better offensive producer and fantasy own. When it comes to NHL value, Lucas should be the better of the two. I am just not a fan of the outlook with Detroit, especially right out of the gate or even the next couple-to-few years.

Alex Newhook: He only places higher than Marco Rossi if he can grab the 2nd line RW spot. I just feel that the adjustment time with Rossi will be longer due to the lack of pro experience. Newhook also will play on a loaded Aves team, getting sheltered and given a chance to exploit that.

Marco Rossi: He makes it to the top of the list if he somehow snags the top line role with Kirill Kaprizov. Because I don't see that happening.... Even if it happens, it's late into the season at the earliest, and for that reason he's No. 4 on this list. Again, I just don't see it this upcoming season.

Anton Lundell: Peyton Krebs could have been here, because of his 4 game NHL stint. But I like Lundell's upside and chance of finding a spot on the Panthers as early this season. Looks like a stud in the making with star potential. The fact that he's a goal heavy prospect, doesn't hurt either. Potential top sniper for the Panthers.

HM: Peyton Krebs is one of those guys who could play into a center role... as the Vegas Golden Knights top dogs right now are William Karlsson and Chandler Stephenson. Really depends where he lands, but despite missing many games of the past couple of seasons (which you think would hinder his development) he has only succeeded and shot up in trajectory.

Okay, dammit, I did six! Happy Axeman?

Looks good to me, but I feel like Krebs is getting overhelped while some others like Tomasino are underhyped. Personally, I'd put Tomasino ahead of Krebs
