Default keeper list, a couple tough choices, would appreciate feedback. we drop in a few days.

Hey everyone, thanks in advance. Scoring and details in sig.

of note, I traded away most draft picks chasing first last year. I finished second. huzzah.

keep 13 only. we drop in a few days.

defense is the hardest position to fill with good contracts vs production. (we gave a slight bump to hits, shots, blocks)

    keepers.

    Boeser 5.87x1
    connor 7.142x5
    lindholm 4.85x3
    farabee .925x1
aho 8.460x3 (should i flip one of aho or connor for a younger cheaper player or a d man?)
svech rfa (please be a bridge)
    batherson rfa (see above)

    theodore 5.2x4
    girard 5x6
    bean rfa
petry 6.25x4 (hes been very good in our league, but i would drop him for hamilton if he signed under 9....maybe)

    hellboy 6.166x3
    shesterkin rfa

    bubble

hamilton rfa (keep over petry depending on deal)
bjorkstrand 5.4x5 (depending on bathersons deal, bjork might be the better keep. he might still be regardless)
perron 4x1 for his cap, am i foolish for dropping him? his numbers have been great for my team.
garland rfa (i could likely deal him for a draft pick)
    kravstov .925
weeger 3.25 (i could maybe get a draft pick for him)
    bergeron 6.875x1
    copp rfa
heiskanen 8.450 (this breaks my heart, i was hoping for a bridge. At this cap id maybe keep hamilton over petry.)

i've had my head out of hockey for a bit, is their any obvious mistakes i should be doing more research about?

thanks again, will rep where i can.

On D, I'd be seriously considering Weegar as a keeper, depending on how that grit cats bump worked out. He's solid value, considering that Ekblad should miss time at the beginning of the year, and I think the Weegar/Ekblad pair showed that it's the top pair for Florida.

Perron/Garland are also guys worth considering as F keepers. How did the forwards score last year? This is Boeser's last cheap year, so you may want to move him now before he becomes a clear drop next year.

thats a good point about boeser, im kind of banking on flipping hi to a competing team if im out of the race as a rental for them, hopefully for a decent draft pick.

who would you drop to keep perron or garland?

I agree with trying to trade Boeser.
The smartest play might just be to make him one of our keepers and try to trade him - post draft.
Teams will have more options willing to trade back.

    I would trade Petry personally.
Coming off a career year and turning 34.
    I don't expect a repeat.
    I would cash in ASAP.

    I wouldn't keep Bean.
he might be NHL ready, but what ice time he gets - that's a big question.
    Even on Seattle (if drafted).

Dropping Bean & trading Petry would allow you to keep both Weegar & Hamilton.
I suspect Hamilton's deal will be just shy of Heiskanen's wherever he ends up.

If Hamilton's deal is too rich for you (8m-ish) then vs. perron or Bjorkstrand I would want to keep Bergeron
over pt/gm at 6.8m It's arguably the best value option you have.
