I prefer Drysdale here. It's no slight against Byram but he's second fiddle at best. Drysdale is the man in Anaheim with little to no competition for prime ice time.
Keeper"s league point only.

Byram at best will be a #2 while drysdale will be #1 for the foreseeable future. Unless something major happens in Anaheim then it’s Drysdale for me also. Good luck

We have seen this type of discussion before about Byram. Specifically, what his role will be on the Avs back end. I think we all know the answer. The thing is, Byram is perfectly suited to take on a secondary role as his game is mature even at a young age. He will get some points for sure, and his peripheral stats should also be substantial and he will do what the Avs need him to do. This, however, does not translate well in a points only format. Drysdale on the other hand has fallen into a plumb situation in Anaheim. They need an offensive defencemen badly and Drysdale is the answer. He is far more one dimensional than Byram, but he fits what the Ducks need perfectly. I think Drysdale is the right choice here.

i dont disagree with this, but there is also the factor of how each of them will perform...situation is only a prat of it. Situation also means how good is a team, how much will either benefit from the teammates...there is not much in Anaheim and even if Drysdale gets a primary role there he may not produce that much. Last year Colorado scored 197 goals and Anaheim scored 126...even with limited role i think Byram could score more points. And as Bubba said, peripherals do favorite Byram.
So i think in few years, drysdale will be better offensive option but still very close in multi cat. For next 2-3 years, Byram maybe better in any format.
