You bring in too many good players that you can't trade and you play yourself out of a chance to get Wright or Bedard.

And your example is weak. Is the 2nd round pick that you receive for Jake Bean going to be a better asset than Morgan Geekie?

Only your last point can be valid. I don't agree that Geekie is more valuable then a 2nd but that's just me and anybody can argue the opposite.

But to your first two points, as said, they just drafted 30 players and there is free agency. Dressing enough players for Game 1 is not a problem.

And then, if a GM strategy is to build his team in a way to not play himself out of a chance to get Wright or Bedard, that's just bad management. First, getting players that you can trade for more draft picks just give more assets, it doesn't make them better for the next two years. If these players are playing good, they will be traded. If they don't play well, well they are gonna lose so they are not out of the run for the lottery. And if the strategy is to be purposely bad to stay in the run for these players, it's a bad culture for your team. Edmonton and Buffalo didn't have meaningful success with that strategy.

Time will tell if his strategy worked. We do know that the Vegas strategy worked, look at their success in their brief history. Kraken don’t jump off the page as win now. Maybe win in 10 years….

WTF would you pay an expansion fee to bring a team in and plan to win in 10 years? That makes no sense. I don't think there is some grand strategy at work here. I think we are just seeing that Francis is a bad GM and in over his head. That's what I see.

The mascot's jersey, if they have one. Before you say this is a crazy answer I give you my logic.

    1. Mascots don't get traded. They can change franchises, but that's a very special case (notable: Youppi!)
    2. They rarely get released. (notable: The San Diego Chicken)
    3. They do get replaced, but that's not generally due to them doing something heinous, it's a team rebrand.

I have long said that the safe answers for jersey purchases are mascots, dead legends, and then retired legends. Bonus option if there's one who has your last name.

I've been asked to remove nameplates from jerseys when people haven't wanted the scumbag's name on them in the past. My girlfriend asked me to fix her 2 Tiki Barber jerseys, for example.

    From Drance on twitter

If the Kraken were going to sign Grubauer, even thought they’d be in that market, why didn’t they take Dillon from Washington instead of Vanacek and net a pair of draft picks?

Blown away by the extent of the value left on the table in how they managed the expansion process.

maybe they didn't until 11th hour when talks with Col fell through.

irony of Drance's comment on Vanecek is Colorado protected Grubauer and lost a valuable asset up front.

No because there is nothing to praise. He's pissed away so much value it's embarrassing.

This headline covers most of it:

Retired NFL Star Tiki Barber Left His Pregnant Wife And Married 23-Year-Old Mistress Days After The Divorce.

His wife was 8 months pregnant with twins. The mistress was a babysitter for the older kids, and she was about 15-20 years younger than Barber.
