To be fair, most hockey nicknames are a shorter version of their names with a "y" on the abbreviation or "er", or a "s".

Ie Stamkos = Stammer, Gallagher = Gally, Vasilevskiy = Vassy, Weber = Webs, etc. It's not like much time goes into thinking up these nicknames lol

    Interesting link none the less.
10 Team, Points Only, Cash League

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

Yeah... I'd be interested to see the "Player's List".
i.e. What the players call a guy in the lockerroom or on the ice.
It's always a shorter version, there's only time for one... maybe two syllables in a nickname.
That Wiki list is out of control... random fans linking something that is a niche-call on some obscure chatboard.

Like... there can't possibly be any real player or coach calling Mats Zuccarello as "The Norwegian Hobbit Wizard"...
More likely... everybody calls him "Zucc".

Does McDavid have a player/coach nickname?
(I think only the fanbase/media ever refers to him as "McJesus". I haven't seen a teammate interview do it... but maybe it is a thing?!?)

Absolutely and I know this too based on playing hockey back in the day, and watching player mic ups. I just thought it was a neat find.

My favourite one of recent, Josh Anderson chirping Pat Maroon, "Hey buddy get back on the bench where you belong." Maroon responds with, "You have as many points as me!" *laughs*
