I made some "go for it" trades last season and got bounced 2nd round, now not sure if i should re-build, re-tool or go again...
Traded Seguin for Backstrom
Stone for Josi
Buchnevich for Horvat (needed a C)
picks for Suter, Gustaffson (eww)

Keep 12 plus 2 goalies, bolded guys are the only ones I know for sure...
My Ws are deep, but every other position soso -- even G with Bob turning into a pumpkin in Fla, do I keep Talbot over him?
Also, does Yandle last in Fla? Clearly I need to see how the offseason shakes down, but curious about ppls' thoughts

C: Backstrom, JT Miller, Horvat, Pavelski, Nelson, Roslovic
W: Marner, P. Kane, Teravainen, Voracek, Wheeler, Perron, Drouin
D: Josi, Yandle, Trouba, Pulock, Gustafsson, Faulk, Myers, Suter

so, 6 more than the bolded, and prob keep Bob over Talbot, since he may not stay in Minny

C: Backstrom, JT Miller, Horvat, Pavelski, Nelson, Roslovic
W: Marner, P. Kane, Teravainen, Voracek, Wheeler, Perron, Drouin
D: Josi, Yandle, Trouba, Pulock, Gustafsson, Faulk, Myers, Suter
G: Hellebuyck, Bobrovsky, Talbot

However, I think it's time to re-tool; I don't think this is a championship team in your format at this point. I'd probably look to build around Marner, Teravainen, Josi, Pulock, and Helly.

thanks all. that's where I've been leaning ... though I may do with another D instead of Roslovic or Nelson, maybe Faulk. D are harder to come by.

Interesting that ppl think Talbot over Bob. Isnt Talbot more likely to be on the outs in Minny, while Bob's absurd contract gives him some kind of insurance? (and Drierger more likely to be taken by Seattle?)

i agree with this and due to age and upside i would keep Roslovic. If you wanted sure production this coming year i probably keep Pavelski instead of Nelson and Roslovic with understanding that after this year you need new keeper

Thanks again -- I'm not sure about Roslovic, CBJ are goinbg to be dreadful and what's his ceiling anyway, 60-65 pts?
Also D generallly harder to come by that C ... and curious no love for Yandle on this thread?
I assume he'll go somewhere and likely have that #1PP spot? He was deadly there up until last year. (of course he is old, so same class as Pavelski, Wheeler, etc)
also why I'm slightly tempted to go w Faulk ...without Pietro he seems too have taken a larger role, and is always good for loads of shots...
