Default Filip Forsberg or Nick Suzuki?

I’m very high on Suzuki but keep hoping for Forsberg to reach that 30 G plateau again. If Forsberg gets traded, his value only goes up right? Barring injuries, he can easily reach 60 points every season.

I'm not really sure what is going on in Nashville. I don't like where they are going at all. I very much doubt Forsberg gets traded. Montreal is a score by committee offense although Suzuki has really cemented himself as a top option there. And he is 5 years younger. I think it's a bit of a toss up but I prefer Suzuki.

Suzuki just got a very high end player on his line, that guy being Cauliflower... which will be Montreal's big (okay pint-sized) 1-2 combo for years to come. I think they'll push each other to be the best version of themselves... so I will be going with Nick here.

Montreal offense looks like it will revolve around Suzuki. It's not that potent but I think Suzuki will do well in that role. Slightly go with him.

The next 2-3 years, give me FF.

    Beyond that, Suzuki.

I like Forsberg in the short term. This is a proven talent. There are a few encouraging signs happening in Nashville, specifically, Tolvanen appears to be rounding into shape and a first line of FF, Tolvanen centered by either Granlund or Tomassino could make some waves and FF will put up the points, he's been there done that and I think he can do it again. I'm not at all certain what will happen in Montreal next year but I do like the future with the likes of Suzuki and Caulfield evolving into a legitimate first line. I think expecting that to happen next year may be a bit optimistic however. Forsberg short term, Suzuki long term for me.

I'd go Suzuki short and long term here. Gamble for that increasing upside! He's looked great all playoffs.

I do think it is very close between the two, but I agree with what you said and would go with Forsberg by a hair. I feel good about what's happening, and think Forsberg will crack a 70 pt pace next year.

Fosberg is the safer pick this year but I also wouldnt be shocked if Suzuki did better right away, we know he is on the way up but with young players that isn't always up up up, it can be up down up down up. So I'll say tie in the super short term with Suzuki moving forward.

a little bit of age-ism here but i am excited to see what suzuki can do with caulfield on his wing all season. those 2 have some chemistry you dont see very often in young young players. forsberg does not have a player like that to play with unless tolvanen makes a leap real quick

There are some players that I decided that the hope to reach their celling will be for another pooler, Forsberg is one of them. Put Keller, Mantha, Drouin, Meier in this bag as well...

    So give me Suzuki here.

So often I see Caufield spelled as Caulfield. It's Caufield. One L yeah silly wabbit!
