Get Pastrnak. There's too much "who knows" on the Hischier side of the ledger. If you're one of the best teams, then even better. This is why you collect these pieces, to flip them for elite talent when you need it.

I’d say no or at least see if you can hold off for a bit. Pastrnak and his partner have just lost a child. That is a devastating psychological injury. Prior to his age 28 season a similar thing happened to Erik Karlsson and his wife. I have no idea how much of an impact it had - he has also obviously had some significant physical injuries as well - but he hasn’t been the same player since. Your goaltending is looking really tenuous. You have a couple of guys coming off injuries that caused them to miss the entire season. Swayman has been excellent and as it sits now is looking like the Bruins likely starter next season. Rask is out until at least Feb after significant surgery and has said he will not play anywhere else. I think it’s likely he retires. Either way I’m not making this trade right now.

Pasta is one of the top 5-10 most skilled players in the NHL. I love Nico but he's never going to ever be remotely close in production. It's a tragedy what happend to Pasta this month with his son but I'd never let that deter me in the slightest when the deal is this lopsided.
