I too worry about Carlson, I will look to trade him and see how that goes. We are expanding from 14 to 18 teams and may be a good opportunity to flip him for draft picks

i would not do it...is he slowing down..yeah i think so ...will he be a dud this season? no way, will still be top fantasy D. In keep 4 you worry for next year only , you can always drop him after next year. He is your top 4 keeper but if you can package him and someone else to get upgraded F u can keep..sure i go with that.

to be honest im more worry about Miller being one year wonder (2019/20) at over the top high level, than Carlson not producing for next year or 2.

It would definitely be nice if Miller could get back to 19/20 stats. This past season he was around the same pts per game as lindholm, necas, Kreider and palat. Malkin and gaudreau were below. Had forgot to add gaudreau to the original post, but his stats the last 2 years werenÂ’t great anyways and doesnÂ’t hit at all.

Rantanen is top notch. Hamilton could be in the right situation, however, is keepable for sure. Miller over Lindholm due to their linemates. Lindholms are not that consistant. I really like Necas and think he will blossom into a PPG guy with Carolina. Carlson is on the slide and although he may be one of your top 4 for next season, after that he's not, so pass.

I would go with

Rantanen
Hamilton
Miller
Necas

Lindholm next and then Carlson.

To me, the top 3 are easy.

The fourth keeper is tougher. And I would say it's down to the following:

Carlson
Lindholm
Necas
Malkin

Carlson and Malkin are both getting older, but are both capable of being a top 10 player next year, if they stay healthy and their teams have a good season. But could also decline, and aren't long term options. Lindholm is probably the safest bet of the group, but in my opinion, has the lowest ceiling. Necas probably has the highest upside longterm, but is not someone I would normally consider keeping in a keep 4. So the last slot is up to you, based on your plan and current situation. If your team was competing, I might be inclined to go the Malkin/Carlson route. But based on the players here, I'm guessing your team isn't expected to contend next year. So I would lean towards one of the younger guys.

Having trouble deciding on my 4 keepers, Any help would be appreciated. 18 team league keep 4.
G,A,GWG,+\-, Hits, pims, shots, PPP,SOG,SHP.
GA,Loss, Saves, Shutouts, wins. These are the players worth considering. Rantanan for sure IÂ’m keeping and would like to keep Hamilton and Carlson but not sure on keeping 2 D in a keep 4.

For me it's Rantanen, Necas, Hamilton, and Carlson. But I do believe Malkin will have a bounce back season. He's only 1 year removed from a 110 point prorated season over 82 games, which would be third behind McDrai and 5-on-5 for 60 mins he was the best player that season. I believe the lack of an actual preseason and decent camp hurt Geno... but before he got hurt again, he looked like he got his old rhythm back, 12 points in 8 games. I still see a 90+ point forward there.. just has to remain healthy and thus lies the problem.

Trading has opened up so I’d like to give an update and see what you guys think now. So I am lacking early picks so don’tplan on being competitive this year so I am planning for next year. I made a trade sending Carlson and some picks for svechnikov. As of now my keepers are

I am wondering if I should go with Necas now as IÂ’m looking 2 years ahead.

Thanks guys, I have now acquired sorokin for some later picks and am considering keeping him or necas, the league has added a couple new teams so thinking with 16 teams would be good to keep a goalie so I don’t have to worry about drafting one early each year as they hold decent value. Sorokin should be starter in 2 years? Will see if I can trade some more players away.
