    Default Huge rebuild trade?

Hi all, 16 team dynasty (Hamilton in sig)

    I've been offered:

    2022 1st, 2023 1st, Chytil, Madden and Glass

    for

    Trocheck, Wennberg and a 3rd 2023

I'd be giving up Trocheck, who could still be useful when I come out of my rebuild (plenty of good players coming through/already there) but I'd really like to get one of the three headed monster next year, for the past 3 years it's been my goal to get one of them so I've been stocking up on 1sts.

The team giving me these didn't make the playoffs this year so was a lottery pick, they have an easier division so could get to playoffs but you never know.

I could also do 2022 1st, 2023 1st and Chytil for Trocheck alone

    Or 2022 1st and Hoglander.

i dont know if i would call it a huge trade but you only giving up one asset really and you gaining several..i think this is easy accept.

I personally dont have much fate in Madden or Glass but other 3 assets are definitely wroth it. Any idea what kind of picks you potentially looking at?

I guess 'huge' is because of the amount of pieces and the fact Trocheck is a top 6 C in our league this season.

Would Boulet/Gunlet be better than Madden / Glass?

Picks are guaranteed top 16 in both drafts as we only have 16 teams, but I would imagine at least one of them would be a top 8 lottery unless he turns it round really fast (he's coming out of a rebuild)

Hell yea. Getting that draft capital will also help you have trading chips to further improve your team if a championship run comes along. Trocheck is a nice to have but for what you are getting back it's worth it giving him up. I too think getting a top pick next year is highly valuable. I like your D and you could address your wings with FA/drafts. Sorokin should step into a #1 role within the next 2 years as should Samsonov so your G are good. I would do the deal. (first offer) Good luck.

I like getting the 2022 and 2023 R1 picks. Boulet/Gunler would not be better than the Chytil Glass package. I'd go with the Trocheck/Wennberg package you mentioned first.

Take the Madden/Glass offer. Very good offer and you're the clear winner. You'll be vying for championships soon and for years to come and look back at this trade a big reason why.

Agreed, I think you need to do this. I see this helping you, the million dollar question is by how much? What those first rounders turn into is huge here. I'm not a huge fan of Chytil or Madden, I'm not sure they will be fantasy relevant moving forward, but we'll see. If Glass can stay healthy, which you sure want to hope for, then this could really swinging the needle into your favour. I'm not concerned about moving Wennberg whatsoever and the potential gains of parting company with Trocheck for a team in a rebuild makes sense.

It's a fair deal. It sets your team back about 3 years but it's probably worth it.

Aren't you worried him acquiring Trocheck and Wennberg helps move him up the standings?

Its hard to say without knowing where the picks are but a few key things:

    - Those are LOADED drafts with great top end talent and getting better equity in them is a coup.

    - Trochek should be declining next year- still useful but not THIS good. Likely a 55-60 point player with solid periphs.

    - Glass could take a HUGE step next year. Hes been held back by injuries and opportunity moreso than skill. Pacioretty already singing this kids praises as the next big thing.
