so i have to trim 5 from this squad..i have identified 3 of the easy ones..leaning towards Wild Bill and Kapanen

C- Backstrom, Malkin, Couturier, WKarlsson, Monahan, Schenn(LW)
    RW- Rust(LW), Kapanen, Granlund(LW,C), RStrome(C), Voracek(LW)

D- Petry, Martinez, Krug, Doughty, Ekholm
    G- Lehner/Fleury, Rask, Saros, Binnington

i am hesitant to drop a G (yes even Rask, i know hes out but..he could also retire so that would make things easier)

I think the end is near for Voracek. Him and W. Karlsson would be my choices. These last two years of sub 2 SOG per game for Voracek is concerning. Time on ice steadily declining for the past few years.

Monahan and Voracek would be my next two.

Can't believe Monahan is only 26 but he has really dropped off offensively. Over the last 2 years every part of his game has suffered. Can he get back to being a consistent 60PT guy? Sure but not while Sutter is coach IMO. Voracek was never a big goal scorer and generally seems on the decline overall. So I would go with those 2 as my choices to drop. Good luck.

From what I can gather, a decision on Rask will not be made for quite some time. It seems he wants to stay in Boston but that will depend on a few things, firstly, whether he can continue his career after he rehabs or whether he is done on the advice of the doctors. Secondly, will the Bruins choose to move on from Rask regardless of the situation. Big unknowns. All this to say, if you can't stash him on IR in your league, hoping he'll retire and make your problem go away may not happen anytime soon. I own Rask myself, and I'm lucky in that I can place him on IR. Anyway, you may want to follow up on this and if what is coming out of Beantown is as I stated, dropping Rask may be the best option. I agree with the others, now may well be the time to move on from Voracek. The next one is tough, but I'd likely part company with Monahan. Good Luck!

nice list so far, keep em coming,.. generally what i expected to see from teh group actually, although i wasnt expecting a definite keep on Schenn

Vora - can certainly be cut, i guess i was hoping for a bounce back, but teh sub2SOG over the past 2 seasons really hits home.

Monahan..what can ya say here. hes much too young to give up on, and he has the capability...i think ima hold

Schenn is a toss-up for me. i feel he should be kept, but STL has never produced the big point guys

Ekholm / Martinez - maybe its because ive seen so much of Martinez lately thats making him a better keep over Ekholm. all in all probably similar. Maybe Ek gets moved?

Kapanen - im really trying to find a way to keep Kap.

Karlsson / Marches - See above re: Martinez.

    Response to your response..

Vora - can certainly be cut, i guess i was hoping for a bounce back, but teh sub2SOG over the past 2 seasons really hits home. Gone

Monahan..what can ya say here. hes much too young to give up on, and he has the capability...i think ima hold. Coached by Sutter - the offense is a mess. Keep only if traded.

Schenn is a toss-up for me. i feel he should be kept, but STL has never produced the big point guys. 29 yrs old. Correct on STL - Gone

Ekholm / Martinez - maybe its because ive seen so much of Martinez lately thats making him a better keep over Ekholm. all in all probably similar. Maybe Ek gets moved? Martinez is a UFA - will not be a VGK next season - on the fence depending on where he signs...Kraken?

Kapanen - im really trying to find a way to keep Kap. Dont - Gone.

Karlsson / Marches - See above re: Martinez. Both pretty Meh players. Flip a coin.

made a few changes and a couple of drops, but still down to keeping one of the following.

    Schenn
    Monahan
    Arvidsson

also, ESPN has stripped the dual eligibility for now, but i am hoping they return at least some of the LW eligibility i had on others or its gonna be tough, but i expect hat at least RNH and RStrome to get wing elig. Schenn never plays wing but was a LW elig last year.
