He's got a lot of potential for sure. I'm thinking with Heiskanen in front Harley might not get the offensive minutes he needs to thrive for the foreseeable future but I'd certainly put him on par with a top five/ten pick in this years draft.

He had a great WJC and I think he'll be very good defenceman. I'd hold off on a decision if you can until after the drafts (expansion and regular) to see where other players land in their draft and if there's a similar player with a faster track to meaningful fantasy hockey.

If you can shop your pick that may be better, as I don't think you're ahead by making the trade.
    Team 1:
J Hughes, Cooley (r), Bratt, Laine, M Tkachuk, Necas, A Svechnikov, S Jarvis, M Michkov (r), W Johnston, Zegras, Giroux, Norris, Couturier, B Jenner, T Krug, Burns, M Weegar, Werenski, Sergachev, B Clarke (r), Theodore, Sorokin , Oettinger, Askarov (r), Ersson
    12 teams, No salary cap
Keep 14 plus 4 rookies (under 150 GP) max 18 players
    Scoring: G (1), A (1), +/- (0.25), H (0.1), B(0.1), PIM (0.1), SOG (0.1), GWG (1), PPP (1), SHP (1),

Belexus is right. While this draft might not be as hyped as previous years, there are a good handful of better D available in the first half of the draft.

I love Thomas Harley. One of the youngest prospects in that draft, and my favourite defenseman prospect from that 2019 Draft class. He looked amazing in his Draft +1 year in NHL preseason hockey. The way commands the ice playing down the middle creating an offensive break out to his forwards where many dmen with lesser skill or adapting to that level will take the safe route and dump along the boards...he's great on the transition and is so smart with seeing those open spots. He looked good partnered up with Miro Heiskanen. That then Dallas Stars head coach Jim Montgomery at the time had him play 25+ mins per game. That last game he was out for 5 of the last 7 minutes of the third, being put in all situations, PP, 5-on-5, and PK and didn't look out of place. If it wasn't for GM Jim Nill, who's a conservative approach guy, he would have most likely gotten the 9 games.

Montgomery gave the kid a compliment and said he's a Heiskanen clone, and Craig Button was quoting as saying, "Harley is Chabot 2.0." This kid is very good and the eye-test also matches up. I see a 50-60 point NHL dman stud here.

I'd take the Brannstrom offer. He's here now and frankly his offensive upside is equal to or better than the d-men in this draft, in my thinking.

I don’t know who would be there at 4 but it could be anyone really. After Buffalo it could be a mixed bag. I would make the deal for Harley or Brannstrom. Good luck

Well, you made Eli26 happy (:

If Eli's right about Harley and the Sabres are right about Quinn, this is a very nice trade for you.

Any predictions for Harley this year. In my salary cap keeper, 24 GMs, I need to decide between him and Lundkvist. I'm leaning towards Harley. Played in all playoff games, 5 primary assists, logged decent minutes, and may ride shotgun to Miro (or maybe it will be Suter). Lundkvist didn't see any playoff action and his game times were reduced to ~ 11 minutes in March. He does have the coach's confidence though.

It's a keep 11, and my other D is Quinn H. I usually load up and keep F, and draft D.

Is Harley the next Burns or more Parayko?
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
