McAvoy - still a bit light on shots, but fills hit/blk better - better cat stuffing option

Pionk will give you slightly better PP numbers - slightly better offensive option but doesn't leave MC barren

You can make a case for either depending on your biggest need.

    I am leaning Pionk.
His PP time should increase back up slightly next season. He will out hit McAvoy. The only cat I see him losing is Blocks, however this season they were comparable.

Well this is about as close to a dead heat as it gets. The only significant statistical difference (and it is significant) from this season is in the hits category where Pionk put up 137 to McAvoys' 65. If that trend continues I give Pionk a slight edge here. Still, very close.

I prefer McAvoy personally as I think he has a better chance to do all of this while putting up 60+ points as he takes the PP1 job for himself like he has so far in the playoffs.

Pionk and Morrissey have been alternating PP1 duties so to me hes a bit more risky despite greater hits.

I like Pionk here by a little because I think it is possible that at some point soon, he will be given the majority of PP1 time. There's another tier he could reach. Could be wrong but I don't think that will ever happen with McAvoy. Boston will always find someone else to primarily use, even if McAvoy gets spurts of PP1 time here and there. Plus, until McAvoy shoots the dang puck, he's never going to be a big point producer.
