Korpisalo and Georgiev: starters or backups??

What you guys think about those two? Are there any chances they become starters next season?

I can see Korpisalo as a starter somewhere, either in CBJ or elsewhere. Georgiev will be a good 1B but not the leading guy.

Agree, as long as Georgiev stays in NY he’ll be second to Shesterkin. Good luck

I think the goaltending situation with the Rangers remains the same for next year unless Shesterkin demands an outrageous contract that the Rags are unwilling to meet. Georgiev is under contract for two more years but certainly for next year I think that is in the back up role regardless of what happens with Shesterkin. I think it's likely that they get Shesterkin signed and go into next year with the duo they have now

Things in Columbus are a bit more complicated. Elvis and Korpisalo are certainly in the mix and you have both Tarasov and Kivlenieks knocking on the door. I honestly have no idea what the Blue Jackets go into next year looking like between the pipes. If Korpisalo is indeed expendable then he should likely land a backup job somewhere and there is a chance he gets a shot at a starting gig. I wouldn't bank heavily on that, but it is possible.
