16 rounds in snake format.

Who would you take first overall?
Secondary question; picking 1st overall also means you don't pick again until picks 24 and 25.

I think the Cost above replacement of McDavid at #1 overall is the best. If you don't get McDavid or Draisaitl you could get stuck with some really bad options.
If you don't get McDavid, you could still end up with Burakovsky, Kadri, Girard... etc.
As for the second round/third round picks
I am hoping that some of the top guys from Pittsburgh, Boston, or Carolina are available. Letang, Malkin, Svechnikov, Teravainen. Bergeron, Hall.
In a draft like this it all depends on how the other people strategize/

you take Mcdavid first...even if he gets bounced in the 1st he could still end up with the most points. (7 games*3per = 21points!!)

McDavid averaged 1.89 pts (thus far). If he gets 7 games that’s 14 pts. If he gets 14 (seems unlikely) games that’s 28 pts. Not sure where the 3 ppg comes from. MacKinnon was at 1.35 pts per game this year. If he gets 20 games that’s 27 pts. McDavid is certainly good but his team is not the Colorado Avalanche. My guess is McDavid ends up with about 20 pts and Mackinnon with about 30.
