    Default Bold 2021 Playoff Predictions

Ok, so I’ll try my hand at predicting:

1). After the playoffs start on 5/15, Calgary will win more games than Winnipeg.
2). Only ONE of the division winners will advance to the “final four.”
3). Whether during first or second round, Jeremy Swayman will take over #1 GK from Tuukka Rask, and
4). No home team will win a game 7.

    Lastly, 5). If I go zero-for-four, I still won’t learn.
CONDORS, 2022-23 league champions, Reg Dunlop Mem Cup

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

    Keller, Doughty, Verhaeghe, ErikssonEk

1.) No major upsets happen (Vegas beating Avs isn't an upset)
2.) The Leafs starting lineup game 1 is different game 4 (outside of goalie, because that's too easy)
3.) DoPS is involved in the first round with a hit that the public thinks should be a suspension but is left with just a $5,000 fine.
4.) Rinne plays a few minutes in the final game as a fair well.

Are any of those last few takes all that bold?

    1) McDavid LEADS playoff scoring despite being knocked out in round 2.
    2) The cup winning goal is scored by Joe Thornton. His only one of the playoffs.
    3) Minnesota comes out of the West but then gets swept by Carolina who shuts them out for the entire series.
    4) The Penguins play three rounds but none of Crosby, Letang, Guentzel, or Malkin finish top 3 on their team in scoring.

    1) All four #4 seeds force game 7 Overtime.

    2) Florida does not score a goal in a 4 game sweep in the first round.

    3) Edmonton and Winnipeg combine for an average of 10 goals per game in the series.
    Edmonton's season average was 3.25
    Winnipegs season average was 3.02
So that's an average of the two teams combined of 6.27 for the regular season

Calgary isn't even in the playoffs... So this won't happen.

Calgary plays three games after May 15 all against Vancouver so they could reasonably get three wins which may very well be more than Winnipeg gets.

Not quite the right timing for this thread but Barry Trotz coaches the Leafs to a cup win in June 2024 after proving once again with the Islanders that he cannot development offensive talent. Like he did when he went to Washington, he will inherit mature offensively gifted players who just need some discipline and structure. Three more years of cup disappointment for the Leafs until then.

Yeah... I was referencing CGY games vs. Vancouver, as opposed to WPG games vs. Edmonton Yeah, I know they’re meaningless, but a win is still a win.
