Saros can't save NSH in this case. Carolina is just too good and too deep. CAR in 5.

Predators roll out to an early 2-0 lead in the series after sweeping Carolina in the final two games of the season.

Then Carolina turns it on and wins the next 4 straight.

    Carolina in 6!

Canes in four. Sorry, but the Preds just don't have a shot here.

This is probably the easiest, or at least highest consensus, first round matchup with the hurricanes taking it.

Predators in 6. They were one of the best teams in the league over the second half of the season and they continue rolling right through the Hurricane.

And also the likeliest upset of the first round
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Carolina should win but i actually think it may be closer than we'd like it to be if they split up the SAT line as suggested by their practice this morning and Saros gets hot

    Canes in 7.

I think having three lines is how you beat Nashville. They won't have Ekholm, Josi, and Ellis play every minute of the game, so taking advantage of their depth D is a must. Ensuring multiple lines can take advantage of that is even better.

im of the general opinion that if youre the favourite you make the under-team counter the way you play, not the other way around. carolina dominated nashville all season until the recent 2 (somewhat) meaningless games at the end of the season.

I don't disagree, but they also didn't have the top line loaded up for most of those wins against Nashville. So in theory they are going back to that same strategy again. Playing their game, but that includes adjusting to the matchup.
