I really like the comment Cooper made about how he hopes in the future this isn't a topic because it's normal.
World is slowly making some good improvements towards racial diversity and awareness...
But I loved this as a season finale moment for the Lightning.
Just pretty cool.

I know the Ontario Reign had a pretty dominant all-black line at some point this year as well with Byfield, Thomas, and Smith-Pelley. Cool to see it at the NHL level too.

This is awesome. I thought I had hear this earlier this year. But upon further analysis your title includes NHL.
The one I heard about was in the AHL:
But I agree. The World is making appropriate improvements and it is awesome to see.
Great Job Tampa Bay and Ontario!!

the more attention this blm stuff gets and race adversity etc. (same with lgbt stuff) the more this stuff keeps existing.
Awesome!!

Angus is my best friend at dobberhockey..
"all black line on a highlight for a goal" is different than "all black line on a highlight for being the first to just be a line" is different though to me.
I'm fine with "Look at this goal from this group of people with similar traits!" but imagine if we still got "Leafs ice a full line of russian players for the 10th time since 2012"? It would get stale because Russians in the NHL are normal, that's what I hope to happen with African Americans in the NHL. To not be a big deal on the ice anymore. My gf still finds it shocking when she sees Simmonds on the ice for the Leafs. Where it really shouldn't be a shock.
Time will make this just like Russians in the NHL, non-topic for existing in the NHL.

That every person is given an equal opportunity to succeed regardless of race is what is important. I don't care what colour the players are but I understand the historical significance of this. It happened faster in other sports, like basketball and football, because of the more diverse pool of kids who are passionate about the sports. Hockey is not perfect and has many roots in older, less progressive thinking, but the reason we haven't seen more racial diversity is largely the result of what race the majority of the kids that play the sport have been.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I read something the other day that Atlanta Thrashers once started a game with four black players, but two of them were defensemen (so there's wasn't a line per se). I think the four were Johnny Oduya, Dustin Byfuglien, Evander Kane and Anthony Stewart.
Here's the tweet:
according to @EvolvingHockey, the 2011 thrashers had 3 or more black players on the ice for 521 minutes. They started a game with 3 or more black players 18 times, and 4 black players once, but the forwards were centered by Nik Antropov lmao.

They are the same, specially when media or the public like to point out differences. If it was once a big deal for European players to appear in the NHL and it was a slow transition to NOT be a big deal. Its safe to assume that NOT making pointed remarks about an all-black line will be very slow to come to reality.
