I wonder what the TV/Ad contracts would think about cancelling meaningless NHL games. It's a subject that I don't think is easy to debate because there's NHL bonuses that could be at play, even with other teams players (top 15 in this cat and what not), TV contracts, players wanting to play in general, local fans wanting to watch their team, and final standings for picks which would then translate into lottery chances.

I think they should just adjust the time of the games to like 5pm EST to finish before any playoff game is happening. I think the NHL did a terrible job this yr with scheduling games outside of NHL regular times and not broadcasting enough games at like 5pm EST.

I don't know what will happen with those random Vancouver games.

I was reading that they may move the regular season game on the 19th to the afternoon, as some have hoped/suggested. I do not think any games are getting cancelled.

Game #567, Calgary at Vancouver, is set to start at 7:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 16.


Game #864, Calgary at Vancouver, is set to start at 1 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 18.


Game #634, Vancouver at Calgary, is set to start at 1:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday, May 19.

well, i stand corrected. those games are going ahead. gonna be a slow slow burn to see if i can hang on to win my roto league that extended their season....
