    Default Alec Martinez

Has been really really good in Vegas. Check out his numbers:

    63 regular season games played
    11 goals, 29 assists, +31, 18 pim, 55 hits, 200 blocks 11 ppp

If your league counts blocks, he is one of the most valuable dmen.

If he re-signs with Vegas, keep him in mind as he is under the radar but brings a lot of value, at least for the next year or two, as he is 33.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

    In Vegas?

Martinez has been a staple of Peripheral stats for several years now. Mind you he was probably shell chocked in LA and had a few down years thinking "Why should I block shots for this shit team?" as he watched Doughty line change in the middle of a play several times lol

True but he took it to another level in Vegas both offensively and in blocked shots.

My best trade this year was trading away Alex Edler's contract and signing Martinez at half the cost as a free-agent. I didn't end up needing it in a close race but his 9 blocks yesterday won me that category in the championship last night.

I don’t care where he signs his peripherals are great and I will be keeping him for at least another 2 years. I’ve had a ton of trade offers for him which proves he’s still worth something. His hits are a bonus too.

Interesting, he had a high SH% and PP-IPP but his point total really flew under the radar for me, 48 pts/g pace. Even if he finished around 30-35 that's some great value with all those blocks
