ok ok who is the better team Leafs or the Wings

Red Wings are for sure the better team. However I think the Title of \"Hockey Town\" is a bit of a stretch. I was at the opening night of the playoffs vs Calgary and there was lots of empty seats. It kills me to say this cause I hate the leafs but toronto is the better city for hockey.

I think the Wing are gonna suffer on the Power Play, I kinda think their starting free fall this year. No Matter who they scrounge up, Like foresberg or some European holdout, or that great Russian player who better han Sid and Malkin, Wings will pull it off, Maybe another kid napping. Who knows. Wings are better than Toronto. I agree. No Match for the Ranger though. HA! HA! HA!

toronto\'s problem is and has ever been the same as detroit\'s strength: drafting. every year it seems detroit is giving a chance to another young draftee with loads of potential, while toronto never seems to have anyone coming up that the fans can get excited about. when toronto does seem to have a kid that maybe could become something, they either send them to the farm and ruin his development, or they trade them away for some aging has-been.

The leafs would rather trade their few young assets or keep them in the minors too long and sign an overpriced \"name\" - just to please their fan base. Taht\'s the brunt of their problem

the teams that have been pretty good for some time usually are giving quality ice time to some youngster every year: detroit. new jersey. colorado(although last season wasn\'t great). it\'s almost as though they have a policy for development, or something. \"well, let\'s see if the kid can keep up with sakic(or insert top veteran\'s name here).\"

Present- Wings by many hairs
Future- Who the hell knows?

If the question is \"who has the most blue and white in the unifrom?\" I would vote for the leafs. If the question is anything else, I vote for the wings.

I would have to say the Wings. I agree that management has everything to do with it and until the Leafs are owned by someone who cares about winning and not just the extra money for a few playoff games they will never be great. Get rid of the Ontario Teachers federation!!!!! Put 1 person in charge and let them run with it. Maybe, Scotty Bowman!
