I can confirm, no TSN or SN on Roku. I use PS4 for SN App, it sucks to use a PS for that , but it works. Nothing else does. Last year my TV browser app would play video so just went to the TV station's websites but its not working anymore.

Just did some research and it sounds like it's an issue on every device. My Shield doesn't not get the CityTv app but gets CTV. I'll check out if I can get both TSN and Sportsnet but I doubt it.

I've just learned to put down my phone while watching my 20 second behind sports. I love it.

heres where I'm at since last time .
-my bell satt pkg is down to basic + 10 ala carte channels (44 a month and mainly for my wife)
-netflix and nhl live are my paid channels streamed through roku

so I traded crave+hbo for netflix and after 20 + years of getting center ice through Bell I'm getting it through nhl tv app and watch on my roku .

I find I can get my hockey news online so I dont miss sportsnet or tsn through Bell . I think both will eventually become available on Roku as well but I'd probably still pass .

So we havent cut the cord (Bell) totally , however we're saving aprox 40 a month by using Bell and Roku combination

The US dollars part at the end should have left no ambiguity.
I would assume the device operates similarly even in a third world country like yours.
LOL! No, Im not a cop of any sort. I am just curious if I can get the Hulu/ESPN type package in Canada or is it just an American thing.

My biggest and greatest concern about cutting the cord is missing out on the World Jrs and that is strictly on TSN and their app is $20. Sportsnet is right around there too for the Jays games. The fact I cant get TSN or Sportsnet on Roku pretty much closes the deal on that idea.

It seems like every device has one or the other.

You can "crack" the firestick pretty easy and add Kodi to it for all your live sports/tv. It's a little tedious at times, but you'll have any live sporting event imaginable (world jr's included) at your finger tips. Usually in HD quality.

Interesting. Any links on how to do this?

My firestick is about 2 years old so I'm not entirely sure what link I initially used, but tomsguide.com is probably a good place to start!

just pay TSN subscription for a month and stream on your computer or smart TV

as i mentioned earlier in this thread i got smart TV last year...i can stream anything on it. Its like access to internet on your computer. I mostly use legal stuff i pay for but i have one Hockey site i dont pay for that works very well too.
