Question Pickup & Stash for Off-Season Trade - Shesterkin, DeAngelo or Tolvanen?

For a straight-points keep 6 (top team in my sig) I have one pickup left to use before the season ends and I'm thinking of snagging a young guy with high upside in the hopes of trading him away in the off-season. Which of these three do you think might fetch me the most in a summer/early fall trade? Thanks! REP given as always.

DeAngelo might not even be on a roster, and even if he is he'll have too many question marks to be kept in a league where only 72 players are retained. And as much upside as Tolvanen might have, he's in no way shape or form a top 72 player. Shesterkin might be deemed by a GM as having enough immediate impact and upside potential as to be a keeper. That having been said, the fact that Shesterkin is even available speaks to him not likely to be deemed keeper-worthy despite what he brings to the table.

What I'd actually do in your shoes is grab Shesterkin and keep him over Robertson, who seems like he's on a fast track to stardom but likely won't be as impactful as Shesterkin would be for you, especially since you have such amazing forward keepers already.

yeah Shesterkin is the play here...but based on your other post, robertson is not a keeper, Reilly or Lindholm but i may keep Igor over both of those guys as well, specially they you potentially have 5 of top 8 scorers in NHL already on your team...only guys that you dont own that are in the mix imo are Mackinnon, Kane and Kucherov

Yeah, it's really likely because we only have one active goalie slot, not two. He's still a solid choice though!

If those are your 3 options, than Shesterkin is the play.

Alright, this being so unanimous has definitely convinced me, haha. Goalies aren't as valued in our league (only 6-10 kept every year) since we've only got one active spot, but a rising young star goalie on a rising young star team might be a good time to make an exception. Or convince someone else to go for him for a pick upgrade.
