Yaaaa there have been a few threads talking about that around here. They really should broadcast that info out but then again....it's Yahoo.
Not sure if this is new or not, and I can't find confirmation anywhere else, but The Fantasy Hockey Bros (who run a fantasy hockey podcast), tweeted this out this morning:
We were waiting on this...
Yahoo will not be extending the #FantasyHockey season past May 8th.
Which means you will lose the following man games:
1 - CAR, CHI, DAL, MIN, FLA, LA, NJ, NSH, NYI, OTT, PHI, TB, TOR, WSH
2 - STL, CAL, WPG, MTL, BOS
3 - EDM
5 - VAN

Rule of thumb with Yahoo is they won't make any changes, especially during the season. If they ever do make a change it's in the offseason and it's the bare minimum.

The reasoning is, unsurprisingly, asinine and non-sensical.Based on what we know about the NHL schedule today, we have made the decision to not extend the 2020-2021 Yahoo Fantasy Hockey season beyond May 8th. We will be excluding all postponed games during this time period. We have made this decision because adding these games to the end of the season will negatively impact competition for a number of teams during critical weeks late in the season.

I don't think Yahoo! has a single programmer on staff to deal with this stuff.
It's super unfortunate for people in roto-leagues that lost games from their top players.
Additionally - if somebody was on the ball, they should have IR+ every player that had a team delay.
I've been sitting on Brock Boeser on my active roster in one league... nowhere else to put him. Thanks for the zeroes, Yahoo!
Also - I'm pretty sure a year or two ago there was a NHL rescheduled date, like one game... on a Sunday.
And I remember Yahoo! found a way to adjust their schedule for that last game, it was like BOS-FLA(?)... I remember because every player on each team was rostered in our roto league to end the season!!!
EDIT - verified, Boston/Florida April 08, 2018.
It was due to a January 4th blizzard in Boston.
Only game on a Sunday - counted towards roto standings.

this isnt surprising, a compromise that reduces the amount of work they have to do.
i do agree that it likely does affect the competitiveness of H2H leagues too much since canadian teams will have too much of an advantage. you either include all the postponed games or none, cant arbitrarily push it to may 10th for example.
theres enough time to make sure you get your games in so good enough for me. every team had to deal with shit this season, just add this to the list.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
Anyone know if Fantrax is extending their schedule? I still see they have the 8th as their end date.

Yeah it's mainly that they don't want to or can't do it. The reasoning for competitiveness is bs, as commissioners and league members could still make that choice or not if the option was available. Oh well, not surprising.
