Default How risky is it trading for Malkin right now?

Not completely aware of his status other than he can come off LTIR on the 11th. I've clinched my spot already but his owner is fighting for playoffs in our final week.
How risky is it betting on Malkin to return sooner than later and be productive? My C has been one of my weakest positions all year.

This owner is also in a tough spot as the Q.Hughes, Nurse, and Nylander owner, so he's missing a ton of man-games this week as it stands.

Based on my team in sig, does anyone think Malkin or any of the other guys may be worth targeting? I'd love to unload Kuznetsov (4 games this week, only 2 next) as part of the package, but maybe staying away from Malkin altogether is the right idea and I should go after someone else that's not helping his team this week?

Malkin is skating but he is still not close to returning. He needs to practice with the team first and I bet the Pens are super cautious with him and will rest him as much as they can before the playoffs. I would guess he is at least 2 weeks away from returning.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Good to know, and that makes sense, thanks. Maybe best that I shy away from him then if I won't have him for the entirety of playoffs.

Some of the other "Out" guys on his roster are pretty enticing though, but still have some degree of uncertainty too. Just trying to capitalize on his win-and-in desperation without tanking my own run.
