Hall has never played on a 2nd line before, this could be good for him and the Bruins!! They definitely didn't give up too much to bring both Hall and Lazar in!!

Reilly is quietly on pace for almost a 40-point pace. And the Bruins are devastated with injuries to their defense corp and McAvoy hasn't played in a week because of injury. So it kind of makes sense.

I cant decide if it would be funnier for the Bruins to now win the cup or to miss the playoffs, but one of those outcomes are the top two funniest things that could happen for the rest of the season.

Hall is not a good locker room guy.
Elite player (at times) but selfish. Stories from Edm follow him around - where he would pout after an Oilers win when he didn't score, but would be on cloud 9 after a 2 goal game and an Oilers loss
Traded To NJ - gets a big chip on his shoulder - wins the Hart and then mails it in on three teams - NJ, Arz, Buf.

It seems from his post-trade comments Boston is where he wanted to go this past off-season but Bos. wouldn't give him 8m.
Perhaps the NMC on this one year deal (super weird IMO) was Halls way of potentially forcing a a move to Bos. when Buffalo sucked again (which we all saw coming anyway).

Hall has never stood in a locker room like Boston before.
how this plays out could be interesting.

He's not top-line talent on that roster.
Can he all of a sudden become a team player overnight?
If this is going to work in Boston - he has to.

At this point, Hall has already cost himself some serious money for his next contract unless he can do something miraculous in Boston.

I do think Hall has the chance to turn things around in Boston. He's going somewhere he wants to be. I don't think he really wanted to be in Buffalo, he just had no other options. Maybe this will light a fire under his butt...

He had options, just Buffalo was willing to pay him what he wanted where as others were not. He chose Buffalo because of this reason, plain and simple.

Yep. And soon discovered that it was a terrible fit. At this point I'm not sure what he needs to succeed. I hope he pulls the Bruins out of the playoffs like a boat anchor. He's an arrogant me first player and he's getting what he deserves. I don't think he provides anything that the Bruins needed.

He had 17 last season alone.

Taylor Hall has had more breakaways than any player in the NHL in the last 2 seasons. Hasn't scored on any of them. If he gets one tonight, I say he scores. High glove. https://t.co/AYFunCmbsU

Exactly. He didn't really want to play in Buffalo, he just wanted the 8 million. His effort level shows that. He came right out and said he wanted to sign in Boston last off season. So maybe now he'll actually start trying...
