Correct. At 24, Anders Bjork has only played in 138 NHL games. Out of a possible 273 games he ~could~ have played in that time frame. He takes less than one shot per game, so despite being a career 11.8% shooter, he doesn't shoot with any amount of volume commensurate to indicate second line shot generation, and he clearly isn't a good enough of a playmaker to earn second line or second PP usage.

So is he a goal scorer that doesn't shoot or a playmaker that can't set up teammates? Does it matter?

Bjork was included because he has 2 more yrs on his deal after this yr.

Check Capfriendly's page on Buffalo, they have NO ONE after this yr really. UFA, UFA, UFA, RFA, UFA is just everywhere.

Florida had that last offseason and it worked out fine.

That's a really really, really good thing for a disaster of a team like this.

perhaps the one thing in Buffalo that should be applauded.

Florida has a few things that can attract players over Buffalo

Weather, tax, coach, team success. They also had Barkov, Hube, Ekblad, Stralman, Bobrovsky, Yandle, Vatrano.

People are getting hung up on Bjork is what I'm saying, I don't think he deserves to really be splitting hairs over. To me Buffalo saw someone who is decently young, and has a contract. People are over analyzing Bjork.

I’m still quite happy with Foligno and Rittich to the Leafs. They didn’t need another skill forward. The leafs have been pushed around of late despite their wins. And with Hutchinson being their only G depth, I think they deserve some credit. Boston got good value, I do agree, and they could use Hall to help spread out their top 3 players. Still not sure about Boston’s crease. Maybe they’re not done.
im not even sure you can call Hall skilled forward anymore... we shall see. I agree leafs fit their needs most of anybody so far...i would love to add top 4 D but im assuming that wont happen. Either way i think Dubas did quite well.

I wanted Hall to stay in Buffalo so he would have a chance at a 6th lottery win which for sure would be some sort of a record.

Love this deal. Move that loser to my least favourite team. Happy day.

Hall really limited what Buffalo could do in a trade. The benefits of a NTC.

Kevyn Adams on being limited to Boston for Taylor Hall: "Yeah, that's fair to say.

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

    G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger

Truly doesn't matter. A better GM would figure it out. As previously stated, Hall needed this trade as much as Buffalo did. Getting less for Taylor Hall than other teams got for Sam Bennett, Mattias Janmark, and Nick Foligno is simply unforgiveable no matter the circumstance.

Hall doesn't sign in Buffalo without the NMC. It was good asset management on Buffalo's part, they took a worthwhile 1 year gamble on Hall. It doesn't pan out and they turn nothing into a 2nd round pick.

The galaxy-braining half the hockey world is doing to try and defend Kevyn from accounting is truly mind-blowing.

My guess it's the same guy who expected more of a return on his investment than 2 goals at this point and clearly didn't expect to have to trade him.
