I wouldn't keep Strome, so if you don't want Gaudreau, the picks are better.
I do think Gaudreau can get back to point per game.
Points only. Goalies = 2W + 2SO, 1OTL
Gaudreau (6,75 M$), UFA after next year vs. D. Strome (3 M$), RFA after next year
Here's my line-up with AAV, with my keepers (as of now) in bold.
Questions I need help with:
1) Can Gaudreau get back to 80-90 points ? If not, he's too expensive to keep !
2) How many points for Strome next year with a healthy Dach/Toews/Suter ? 40-50 points max ?
3) Do you think Gaudreau or Strome would be among my 12 keepers ? If not, I would trade Gaudreau for draft picks instead
Other keeper options would be Markstrom (was my best player before injury and Flames crashing down), Saros (salary unknown), Hoglander or Gurianov (both get top 6 minutes on cheap contracts)
Juuse Saros (RFA), pleasant surprise so far, but Nashville is so-so and what will be his next contract ?
Robin Lehner (5,0 M$), I'll wait another year before they trade Fleury, but Vegas = lot of wins even for 1A/1B scenario
Morgan Rielly (5,0 M$ ), cheap for 1st PP unit
John Klingberg (4,25 M$), cheap for 1st PP unit
Devon Toews (4,1 M$ ), good value for $
Damon Severson (4,1 M$)
Ethan Bear (2,0 M$)
Matt Grzelcyk (3,7 M$) , good value for $
Brad Marchand (6,1 M$)
Kyle Connor (7,1 M$)
Kirill Kaprizov (RFA)
Elias Lindholm (4,85 M$), good value for 70-75 points
Nils Hoglander (1,125 M$), good value for for top6 winger
William Nylander (7,5 M$)
Sam Steel (0,9 M$)
Johnny Gaudreau (6,75 M$), had 99 points and 86 points not so long ago
Alex DeBrincat (6,4 M$), good value for 80 points
Denis Gurianov (2,55 M$), good value for for top6 winger
Sam Reinhart (RFA)
Nikita Kucherov (9,5 M$)
