Both Laine and Torts need new contracts at the end of the year. Who comes back and who doesn't?

My guess is Torts is gone and Laine re-signs.

Laine stays, goes on a scoring spree for maybe 2 weeks then disappears again.

All I can say is Laine sits 4th all time in goals scored through age 20, with the others in the top five being Ilya Kovalchuk, Steven Stamkos, Dale Hawerchuk, and Jimmy Carson. Yes, Carson fizzled; however, the other three we all know went on to do great things. Torts' deal is up after this, his fifth, season, and that's usually the time he gets the heave ho (five seasons and seven seasons at his last two gigs). Combine that with Columbus realizing they need to bring in a talented center and I think it's far too early to deem Laine duzno. Or maybe he goes elsewhere indeed, in which case paging Buffalo.....
