    Default Mrazek back...

Played a game for the Wolves in AHL this afternoon, was 1st star of the game with 43 saves. Definitely got some "reps" in.... So the Carolina crease situation should get tricky. I have Mrazek on IR, Reimer and Ned are on waivers, I wouldn't mind having the canes handcuff, but will it be a 3 ring circus making all of them undesirable? I would roll with Mrazek/Ned if I knew they were going to get 100% of starts ROS (post deadline) between them. Carolina should move Reimer it seems, right?? I believe Ned needs to play like 9 more games to not be a UFA which leaves 13 other games, and one would think they will want to get Mrazek ready for playoffs as their No.1? How does this not leave Reimer on the outside?

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept all three. They all have a tendency to get hurt, especially Mrazek. So in your case I would probably avoid the handcuff and just go with Mrazek and someone else.

I am in on the 3 ring circus and it has its major pros and major cons. I don't know what is going to happen with the 3 at the deadline, all I know is if Im Carolina Im either trying to move Reimer or trying to keep all 3 for the playoff security. I would avoid the situation entirely if you have less stressful/roster space eating options.

Carolina is making a mistake if they move any of their goalies right now. They are in a great spot right now in part because they have three strong goalies. When one gets hurt they still have two.

Too many people want them to fix something that isn't broken. It's not like Reimer would fetch them much of anything on the trade market anyway.

I follow a couple injury reports (USA Today and Vegas).
In one Mrazek has been called "day to day" for weeks and expected date of return has been left blank. In the other he is called "mid April."
Bishop is called "April 10" and "late April."
Good news for me: Elias Pettersson is called "April 8" and "mid-April." With VAN games currently postponed due to covid he will miss less games if he gets back then. Hoping for better play than before he went out

Kept my incredible streak intact: Benched Talbot in the VGS game for fear he might get lit up. Played Samorov in the NYI game. He got his bell rung in the first period, but coach brought him back and kept him in for 6 goals.

Mrazek played for the Chicago Wolves on a conditioning stint yesterday and made 43 saves in a 5-2 win, earning the first star. He’s back with the Canes now and my guess is he gets his first game in this week.

On NHL Now a few minutes ago Mrazek was shown back with the Hurricanes - with a stick in his hand. I filled up most of my remaining open slots with Campbell, but nice to have another option just in case.

Agree with ya, a lot of people are attached to selling for something as opposed to letting a guy walk. There is a lot of value in having the playoff depth, especially when the return is likely to be so paltry.

The issue Carolina has is that they need to get both Mrazek & Nedeljkovic game action to get sharp, and qualify as a RFA, respectively. That means Reimer should see near zero starts down the stretch for them, barring injury.

They could try getting cute with a planned split game, though.

"Petr Mrazek could make his first appearance in net for the Carolina Hurricanes since Jan. 30."

"We'll see. I know he's getting close," head coach Rod Brind'Amour said, stopping short of naming a starting goalie. "I would say there's a possibility he'll go here tonight."

and so it begins...this may be one of the only times in fantasy I keep 3 goalies on the same team. but i think i gotta the way theyre playing and hopefully theres clarity soon. yeesh.

Shutout in his first game back.

I guess I'm holding 3 Carolina goalies until this clears up...
