Trade for Fox
For league in signature
I am trying to aquire Fox as one of my keepers. I am outside playoffs at the moment and don't think I have much chance of going far this year even if I make it somehow.
I approached the Fox owner with an offer of Krug + my 3rd or 4th pick next year + his choice of Gallagher, Fiala, Greenway or Batherson for Fox + 6th round pick next year
He replied asking for a 2nd round pick instead of a 3rd.
I am inclined to accept that and we would then have to figure which player he wants in the choice I've given him.
Keep in mind if a pick is traded one way another has to be going the other way. That is how yahoo leagues work apparently.

I would probably do it, you get a good up and coming dman and the other pieces you weren’t keeping anyway.
Before you pull the trigger, go back to last years draft and see the player calibre that was taken in round 2, and factor that in

Seems reasonable. Do what joeb323 suggests, and see what a round 2 pick brings before you finalize.

Here are some players taken around the 2nd pick this season. Larkin, Dubois, B Schenn, Forsberg, Theodore, F Andersen, Jarry. Since we are allowed to only keep one goalie per team other goalies tend to go early.
I ended up accepting a trade of his Fox + 4th pick for my Gallagher + 2nd pick.

G is 4 points, 5.2 points for D goals. A is 2.5 points, 3.25 points for defense. 0.07 per FOW, 0.2 points for blocks, hits, and SOG 0.5 points for PIMS and +/-, 3 for SHG, 1.5 for SHA.
Goalies:
GS is 1.5 points, -1 for GA, 0.2 for SV, 4 for SHO, and 3 for W.
