Who do people rather have at the same trade price, Hoffman or Hall? (but $3mill vs $4mill)
Hoffman only makes $4M this year.

I think it still has to be Hall right? Hoffman by no means is tearing it up this year either. Hall is the better player, but guess it depends on the price point

It depends on the team needs. As an Oilers fan, I'd love to have Hoffman at $2M as a shooter on the left side with McDavid. Hall isn't a shooter, Hoffman is.

Whoops! Totally thought he was $6mill.

Man, Hoffman at $2mill beside McDavid sounds awfully good. Or Washington, or Pittsburgh?

Career wise, they both score at the same rate. Hoffman is .34 goals/game, Hall is .33 per game

Who would you be more confident in when it comes to goal scoring? Right now, I'd go with Hoffman and I am a big Hall fan, especially when you consider one is making half as much as the other.

Everything equal, i still think i would lean Hall. But the contract plays a huge part here, so for similar output, i'd agree Hoffman would be your guy

Not worth its own thread here but Patrik Nemeth goes back to the Avs for a 4th round pick.

    Pair of small deals

The Canadiens have acquired defenseman Jon Merrill from the Detroit Red Wings, in return for a fifth-round pick in 2021 and forward Hayden Verbeek.

NEWS | The Washington Capitals have acquired Arizona's third-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft from the New Jersey Devils for defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler.

I'm not sure I'm buying this

    Frank Seravalli@frank_seravalli

Seems to be heating up on the Nick Foligno front for #CBJ. Belief is multiple teams have put a 1st-round pick on the table for Jarmo Kekalainen to consider.
Believe the #Leafs, #Avs and #caps are among the teams potentially willing to part with a 1st round pick in a Foligno deal - and that list may not be conclusive.

Some hard work getting done today in Buffalo. Sources indicate a Taylor Hall trade is getting close at this point.
