Bottom team for werenski, atkinson and a 4th

Bottom gets an older dman who could be out a long term plus a worse pick .i ve read reports it could be career ending but for sure Change the level he can compete at.

Top team gets a better pick and loads up.

Bottom is new to the league. First is not. No veto option.

Is it worth the complaint?

Ekblad is far from an “older Dman”. He’s 25 and appears to be hitting his prime. There’s no way to assess this quickly after an injury that it could be career ending.

The other players likely don’t get kept in a keep 14 league on a strong team.

No need to add the pick in for the bottom team but it’s only a one round difference and at that point in your draft, that is pretty much negligible.

Injury recovery is a gamble, but bottom team is betting that it's a move that improves a keeper D and that (because the team is bottom) this year doesn't matter.

Ekblad is just a bit over a year older than Werenski. If 25 is too old, you need to adjust your thinking. The bottom team wants the best guy next year, and is thinking that Ekblad keeps this up.

I dealt for Ekblad in a league about a year ago, giving up Boeser, heard some rumblings about me overpaying. Didn't care.

Complain about this is Ekblad is 37 and has a long history of injuries. Otherwise, this isn’t even close to the realm of being worth raising a stink.

Obviously as you mentioned about ekblad he carries risk, but if he comes back healthy he’s a 26 yr old D with most likely top PP duty. If I was at the bottom I would be trying to buy him off a top team.
