    Default Another Kucherov Assessment

H2H weekly locks, keep 8, points/wins only, start 6/3/1 (2nd in sig). I've got Freddy as my lone goalie, and Kucherov sitting on IR. Pretty solidly in 1st, and have a wealth of keepers (currently at least 2 too many).

My Kucherov/DeAngelo/late pick for his Markstrom/Cirelli/1st (top 3 of 12).

Would help me immediately this week (Leafs only have 2 games, both B2B), mid-term if Andersen gets hurt/covid, and some insurance long term with Freddy being an FA (plus the 1st). Feels a bit light in the return, but keep 8 really devalues players.

Other option is to just sit tight and hope I can win with my current team. I do have one more FA pickup, so in an emergency could grab a guy like Kahkonen or Smith.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think it's enough to bother with. In a Keep 8 Kucherov is very valuable - far more valuable than any of the pieces you'd be getting.

Alright, back to the drawing board. Still trying to figure out a way to leverage Kucherov into an improved chance at a win this season: same league (second in sig), what do you folks think about Kucherov/Kaprizov for Panarin/Theodore as the meat and potatoes of a deal? I'd need to add to it for salary, most likely Dumba/DeAngelo, and I can likely get a pick upgrade back. The Panarin side is likely in lottery pick territory if I could pry his first out of him...

Panarin is an improvement on Kaprizov for sure this season, and likely next couple at least (albeit at a bigger cap hit), and Theodore would replace my ever revolving third D (Dumba/Andersson/Dobson). Just not sure if Theodore is going to be that much of a better keeper option than Kaprizov, who I'm sort of torn over (is he a legit 90+ threat, or still overhyped?).

As always, thanks, will rep where I can!

I'd do that deal for Panarin. Add DeAngelo on your side, as he's worthless to you.

Kaprizov is good now, and will remain good, but win while you can. Those opportunities aren't always there, and being solidly in 1st in a season-long league is the perfect time to wrap it up.

Well I'm in a battle for 2nd regular season, with the playoffs a week and a half away (playoff champ is the big payout), so no guarantees, but it definitely would give me a better shot.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm gonna let it marinate for a few more days, weekly lock is Monday.

Starting to get a few more offers, got a blockbuster on the table: Kucherov/Pettersson for Vasilevsky/Carlson. Pettersson's contract scares me a bit, but as a Canuck's homer, it would be painful watching him go :/ But having the best goalie in the world (who's only 26) would definitely soften the blow...

Keep Kucherov and Pettersson. Given the latter's crappy/injury laden year, I think he'll get a relatively cheap contract. I'm thinking similar to Barzal's.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
