It's about Dubas letting a player that came from overseas an actual shot at the NHL that he likely promised him. It's a favour not a "we want this player coming back". That's what I gathered from it.

It's a move that lets players know that the Leafs aren't going to let you rot in the pressbox like a few yrs ago (leivo, holl, I'm sure there's others I can't think of right now)
    12 Team, H2H, Keep 6 (in Bold)
G, A, Pts, PPP, FW, SOG, Hits, Blocks
W, Saves, S%, GAA, Game Started
    2C, 2LW, 2RW, 4D, 1Util, 2G, 5BN, 2IR, 1IR+, 1NA

    C: Horvat, Trocheck
LW: J. Robertson, Byfield (C), Guenther
RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas
    Util: Meier (LW, RW)
    G: Oettinger, Georgiev, Samsonov, Woll

Do you actually believe a team would go out of their way to do a favor for a guy who has played 9 games and has proven nothing?

NHL teams act in their own self-interest, as they should. Leafs aren't going to let go of Lehtonen if they viewed him as a valuable depth piece who can help them win.

Their minors G depth sucks so they added a young goalie who can help there. That's what this is about.

After 2 weeks of Visa issues and finally joining the team late last week, Lehtonen expected to make his Columbus debut tonight

Looked ood- oly got credit for two sos last night ut was pressin in the thurd with at least three towards the net and one- that was a half inch away frombeing tipped in for an assist. Time will tell if he fets the ppdeployment but his ozone deployment was very favorable to start. I now its one geame but its a ood start....

Looks like Lehtonen isn't getting much PP time, but is seeing more SH time. Time to let him go.

Yet another player being used in a place where they aren't used to or better way to say it maybe, a player not being put in a place to succeed.

Yep. When an offensively skilled defenseman gets a fairer shot under Torts, that speaks volumes. Sooner or later, the teams with GM's that end up lying through their teeth will start feeling the pain.

F!#%$^ing Tortarella. Lehtonen plays his strongest game yet on Wednesday so he's rewarded by getting to spend the next game in the pressbox. I'm assuming Jarmo is wanting to re-sign Mikko and this will definitely help.

With Lilegren and Sandin making noise this doesn't surprise me. Good that he goes to a place and has some chance to play. I wish him luck. Don't know much about VV but helps the Leafs with goalie depth.
Call me old one more time.
